The boys tennis season starts on March 16.

Sadly, they ended up losing five of their players to graduation last year. The graduated players were Brandon Nowakowski, Billy Eagen, Cam Label, Zach Hall and Colin Giebner.

They finished with a record of 4-12 and are hoping for a better season than last year.

Returning this year is senior Nick Crane, juniors Sean Nugent, Brandon Lafever, Nathan Quiterio; and sophomore Tyler Nowakowski.

“My goal for the team this year is to keep our team spirit up and to stay as close as we had in the past no matter if we win or lose all of our games this year,” said Nugent.

The team also welcomes junior Alex Kalesnik to the team.

“I’m most excited for the feeling of personally challenging someone,” said Kalesnik, “I do cross country so it will be different playing one individual.”

Kalesnik used to play when he was younger and has recently just starting to get back into the sport.

It is not certain if any freshman will be joining the team.
