Annually, the senior class of LHS performs a show for the town to showcase an array of skits and moments. We already know this, since it’s been an ongoing tradition that has no plan on discontinuing anytime soon.
We, the junior writers, have a collection of reviews (not summaries) of the many skits that we actually found entertaining for everybody. Though– if you were looking for some kind of rehash of what happened on both nights–I would start waiting for the posted video for when it shows up on the Michael Hill account…

The Avós
“Every time the avós came to the spotlight we were guaranteed a humorous skit. From Avô stumbling onto stage not knowing where he was to Avó threatening to use the wooden spoon, this skit was one of the best! It perfectly embodied the aspects of Portuguese culture through light-hearted jokes.” –Gabriella Lage, Staff Writer
Family Feud: Country VS Rap

“The amount of times that the group I was with and myself turned to one another to go: “Sam, again?” was almost tiring in the funniest way possible.
Anywho, with the many other skits that the rest of our AP chem class will use against him, this honestly felt like one of the more thought-out scenes that he played in.
I just feel like the quick gag that Nicki and Dolly should be swapped given their political views not matching their genre hadn’t stuck and gotten the laughs it should have gotten. Though I think it was because it was said so quickly from what I remember.” –William Nogueira, Editor-in-Training
More Vuvuzela:
“This skit was hilarious. When I saw everyone dressed up like band members and Dani in a crop top holding some ridiculous instrument, I immediately recognized it as a play on the SNL cowbell sketch with Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken.
It was so well done and everyone played their parts perfectly. They were able to capture the essence of the original while adding a touch of LHS flair. In the show were at least one or two other skits like this, one that took inspiration from SNL. I was super excited about it because I love SNL, and it was super cool to see how the seniors interpreted them.” -Vivian Lonczak, Staff Writer
You Got Caught

“I remember seeing the Coldplay sign, and my friend pointed out it was the cheating scandal… Then we started re-enacting it until the actual thing started.
The skit itself was fun and pretty accurate at first. Eventually, they kept exaggerating it with knitting and horse riding? I wasn’t expecting it, but watching them run off stage was funny.” –Manahil Atif, News Editor
Wicked: For Good

“Besides the second musical-related act in the second half of the show, I absolutely loved hearing these two sing For Good. Obviously since I had done drama club the year prior (and with the number of drama members that are seniors now) I had some kind of feeling there was going to be a musical number in the show no matter what.
I hope our class does some kind of musical skit but given the less than musical-oriented number of students in our class, I’m not so hopeful.” –William Nogueira, Editor-in-Training
Surviving Mr. Mulvehill

“This skit was one of my favorites, and it truly captured the essence of Mr. Mulvehill’s class. It brought back many memories to my freshman year and how the classroom was always freezing.
The accuracy of the skit was on point! I loved the dedication and effort that was put into creating an almost exact replica of Mr. Mulvehill. The students begging to keep the windows closed was a highlight of the skit that I, along with many others, could relate to.” -Gabriella Lage, Staff Writer
Quiet Little Voices

“This one was so fun, it felt like watching a start-up alt band who still needs to learn how to sing. But honestly, I really liked this one. I just like that kind of music in general.
It wasn’t really a skit, more of an act, but it was one of my favorites. But I think I would have really enjoyed it more if it was a song I knew. Maybe something by the Red Hot Chili Peppers…” –Manahil Atif, News Editor
Stand-Up Comedian: Ryan

“Was anyone else’s family talking about this act—or just my family? Out of all of the skits I expected to hear during Sunday lunch, I’m actually not that surprised it was this one. Mind you, the one who brought it up hadn’t only not attended, they didn’t even have a child attending the school…it was just that good I’m guessing.
Either way, if you’re just barely half-portuguese as I am, the whole gimmick was still just as accurate. Some parts more than others obviously, I’ve got an Argentinian mother, but the point still stands!” –William Nogueira, Editor-in-Training
Cheerleading Formation

“This skit was when the show started to get really funny. I thought the escalation of people’s problems was a hilarious concept, and Maddy Marques’ line deliveries got so intense and exaggerated toward the end.
I loved it.” –Vivian Lonczak, Staff Writer
Lip sync battle

“This skit was one of the better ones from the show, I liked that they brought back the Benson Boone stuff.
This skit definitely deserved to be at the end of the show but by the time this skit happened I was lowkey over it. ” – Caitlyn Peczka, Staff Writer
Giani Solo

“I don’t know if this sounds mean but this was probably one of the few acts that actually caught my attention. I’m not even trying to downplay some of the ones prior and after this but I thought this was a nice part of the show.
I’ve already talked about the Wicked: For Good act and how I enjoyed the musical number, so seeing a second number was really nice to watch and listen to.” –William Nogueira, Editor-in-Training
Multi-Genre Song

“The senior show was super eventful and funny to watch. But since it’s over that means it’s even closer to the seniors leaving. Farewell to the lovely Tanka Jahari aka Emilia and farewell to the rest of the senior class. In loving memory of the class of 2026. RIP, you will be missed.” –Liberty Carlson, Staff Writer
