Lady Lions ready for Western Mass

The Ludlow Lady Lions volleyball team has made it to Western Mass. Finals for the first time ever. They struggled to get into the playoffs as they are the 6th seed. They had a hard win to start off their playoff run, beating Renaissance High School in five sets with a score of 3-2. Then the Lady Lions had to take on West Springfield High School and this match also went to five sets with also Ludlow winning 3-2. Last night Ludlow took on the 2nd seed Belchertown High School and beat them 3-1 in a total of four sets and Ludlow will take on Minnechaug High School for the Western Mass championship on Saturday Nov. 8 at 6:30p.m at Holyoke Community College.

Benjamin Taylor joined journalism when he came into high school as a freshman and has been taking the course ever since. Now he is a senior and is ready to graduate and move on with his life. Other than journalism, Ben participates in a lot of other activities and hobbies. The one activity that everyone seems surprised that he does is raising and racing pigeons with his grandfather. He loves pigeons. Also Ben loves the movie Deadpool and mozzarella sticks. Other than that interesting fact about Ben, he is also a “sneakerhead” as he loves buying sneakers (mostly for basketball). Ben recently took on the challenge of becoming a member of the golf team. Ben’s main focus is on school of course. He wants to get into a great college and play basketball there. He already knows that he would like to be a Sports Broadcaster. Eventually he would like to become a Sports Broadcaster specifically for the Boston Celtics, his favorite basketball team.
