The National Honors Society was placed in first place this year for the sixth time on the Mayflower Marathon, raising  $10,149.69 worth of food and a monetary donation of $300 cash, for a total of $10,459.69.

The Mayflower Marathon is a fundraiser and contest among the schools in the district. They raise money and collect cans to donate to the needy for Thanksgiving.

“LHS shattered last year’s record, of just under $7000. We are so pleased to have raised so much for such a great cause,” says NHS advisor, Shannon Anderson.

Anderson expressed how incredible and fun it is to be part of this event.

¨LHS went above and beyond,” says Anderson.¨The Ludlow community is truly amazing and we are so grateful.¨
