One hundred freshman toured Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty on a class field trip on May 5.

“It was a great trip. It’s a long drive though and we didn’t have enough time at the Statue of Liberty but we couldn’t have extended it any longer,”  said Freshman Class Advisor Charles Cangemi, adding that they group didn’t return back to Ludlow until 9:00 p.m.

Bryanna Ferreira agrees with Cangemi: “We should’ve went to Liberty Island first so more people could go into the statue. Other than that it was an awesome trip,” says Ferreira.

Some students said that the trip was an opportunity for the Class of 2019 to connect outside of the classroom.
“It was a fun trip and it brought us altogether as a class,” says Sofia Manuel.
