Keep Calm and Ping Pong On

Ping Pong Club comes back for the 2014 school year with advisor  Peter Vamosy, on Wednesday’s from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the A wing.

All students are welcome and are invited to come and improve their skills.

“Many athletes come and play while they are waiting for their practice to begin,” says Vamosy.

Club members play games and learn the rules of the game while playing.

Taken over from Mr. Lee, for showing an incredible amount of interest in the club, Vamosy has now been running Ping Pong Club for four years.

Although Vamosy does not consider himself an expert, he still plays and challenges himself against students and gives them props if they defeat him.

“I’ve challenged him and have beaten him a few times,” says sophomore Ryan Smith. “I look forward to going back every week to put up a good challenge and hopefully keep the score close… Then win.”

If a student beats him, then each week they will rechallenge each other so discover who the ultimate winner is.
