Cheerleading coaches host tryouts

Those LHS students who are interested in joining the cheerleading squad are invited to tryout on Mon. June 2 – Wed. June 4 from 6-8 pm in the back gym of LHS.

Coaches are expecting a good turn out and hoping to see many familiar faces along with new faces.

“We hope to have a great outcome and gain new girls,” says Coach Jackie Vivier

During this years tryouts for LHS cheerleaders football season, girls will have both Monday and Tuesday to learn and practice the cheer, dance, and jumps that they learn.

On Wednesday, it’s the final day.

Girls will have to perform the cheer, dance, and jumps that they have been practicing for the past two days. Along with trying out girls are allowed to do any tumbling that they are able to show the coaches and judges.

Girls who make the team will have a summer ahead of them of practicing to show off at the first football game of the year.
