Who is she?

Khruanha Naiyanan, more commonly known as Ning to her friends and others, is a student at Ludlow High School. She will be graduating in June with a 4.59 GPA and ranked 4th in her grade. She is part of the golf team and is the only girl on the team. Outside of school, she caddies and works at Longmeadow Country Club. She always encourages her friends to join her on the golf course. Overall Ning is a smart, fun, and kind person.

What is the Ouimet Evans Scholarship?

This scholarship combines two scholarships: the Francis Ouimet Scholarship and the Chick Evans Scholarship. This scholarship awards four students from Massachusetts, who caddy, full tuition and housing at a college from the 24 partner universities. This scholarship included an essay on personal experience and why they deserve the scholarship for every applicant and interviews for the finalists that were held virtually and determined how deserving each person was. The scholarship is awarded to the applicants who meet the criteria for each organization. The applicant must also show a strong caddy record (at least two years), excellent academics, financial need, and outstanding character. This scholarship is valued at more than $125,000.

So far 1,130 caddies are enrolled at the 24 partner universities. More than 12,040 caddies have graduated as Evans scholars since the program was founded. It was estimated that about 340 caddies will be awarded the scholarship across the country.

What does Ning receive from this scholarship?

Ning has committed to Rutgers University and will receive full housing and tuition there. She will be able to play golf at the college’s golf course. Ning was awarded this scholarship in February 2024. Ning, Hayden Cusolito, Laila Baptiste, and Christian Sullivan were awarded this scholarship.
