The Ludlow High School chorus will be delivering singing Valentines during DLTs on Monday,Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 14.
“We’re doing ‘Close to You by the Carpenter’s, ”Happy by Never Shout Never’, ‘I’m Yours’ by Jason Mraz and possibly ‘I Can’t Stand It’ by Never Shout Never,” says senior Alex Albano, a member of the LHS chorus.
The LHS chorus decided to “spread holiday cheer and do a little fund raising for [themselves]” says the Director of Vocal Music Dan Henry.
Half of the fundraising money will be used “to buy Jessie Sharron new Johnny Cash CDs” says Albano. The CDs were destroyed in a house fire that caused him and his family to lose everything.
The chorus will only being singing once per room per period to avoid any reoccurring interruptions, said Henry.
Students should make sure that their submissions are in by Friday because the chorus needs to plan a schedule for the deliveries that following Monday.
Anyone interested in sending a singing Valentine needs $3 in hand and must know the DLT of the person their sending the Valentine to.
