December 7, 2011
The LHS literary magazine, The Paw, will host “Coffee House” on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in the LHS cafeteria. The night provides students and alumni the opportunity to showcase their musical, dramatic, and poetic talents.
Tickets will be sold at the door on the night of Coffee House for $5. When purchasing a ticket, one can also get a copy of The Paw which is filled with poems, short stories and drawings.
While listening and watching the performances, attendees can sit back and relax while eating pastries and drinking coffee.
“I’m excited for Friday night. I can’t wait to see what the performances have in store. I think Coffee House gives people a great chance to show the rest of the school their talents,” said senior Claire Lemek.
Performances on Friday include junior Ashley Hibbard who will sing and play guitar, junior Michelle Pires who will sing, and senior Andrew Luzio who will also sing and play guitar.
The LHS Drama Fiefdom members Kathryn Vaz, Chelsea Jeronimo, Phil Aniceto and Haley Caroll will also performing. Their performances will consist of monologues and two scenes from their upcoming play Adonais.
