Sunset in Ludlow

Sunset in Ludlow

This photo was taken in Ludlow, Massachusetts.

Sunsets are one of the most beautiful things that naturally happen. No one had to put the colors into the sky and make it happen as the day begins to fade to night.

These are by far my number one favorite photos to take. I say this because it’s something everyone finds beautiful and it’s natural. This is exactly what I want people to see. I want people to see past all the negative stuff and see the beauty and what a better way to recognize it than with a sunset.

Somewhere in the world, others are enjoying the sunset too at the same time. Obviously not everyone experiences it at the same time but they more than likely will feel the same feeling: calmness.

Their mind will only focus on the sunset. They will take in all the colors and see the world for what it really is. The names they heard being yelled at them in the halls or that fight that saw that afternoon will not matter within the time the bright yet dim oranges, pinks, purples, reds, etc. are illuminating up the sky.

Not only are sunsets a beautiful thing to see but it’s a reminder. After it’s gone and the sky has turned to a dark blue accompanied by stars, they might think “Bad days don’t have to end bad.” It might even be a reminder to keep pushing through their hardships so they can experience the sight and feelings of a sunset more.

This photo in particular was taken when my father had called me outside while he was working on his truck. It made him stop what he was doing because the whole sky was lit up, not just the horizon. It was one of the most magnificent things he and I have seen and it definitely made us both be calm and realize the natural beauty of the world.
