UConn takes NCAA championship

March Madness: the tournament where anything could happen, just ask anyone from the University of Connecticut (UConn) and Kentucky University.

Final Four:

The #1 team Florida University took on UConn and was a battle of whose defense was better and UConn came out with a win and a score of 63-53. UConn was the first #7 team to reach the Final Four since they upgraded to 64 teams in 1985.

#8 Kentucky played #2 Wisconsin and guard Aaron Harrison for Kentucky hit the game changing shot with only a few seconds on the clock and gave Kentucky a 74-73 win.

Both games were unbelievable to watch, so if you didn’t see it, you definitely missed out. What made the games great was how all four teams were equally matched. When Kentucky played Wisconsin it came down to the final shot mentioned above.

Championship:

It was a battle of epic proportions between two very unlikely teams in the championship teams, and two teams that were suppose to be “Bracketbusters.” UConn vs. Kentucky was in a battle no one ever saw coming.

UConn played strong defense as usual and Kentucky did the same. UConn came out with another championship led by senior Shabazz Napier. The score of the game was 60-54. Kentucky couldn’t hit another game winning shot like they did against Wisconsin, so UConn won their fourth championship in school history.

Congrats to the UConn Huskies for winning this years championship game.
