Class of 2020 starts fundraising

Students from the class of 2020 will be selling “coupon books” in an effort to raise funds for a deposit on a venue for 2019 prom.

“We have $152” said advisor Tracy Blair. “ We need money to reserve the [prom] venue” which is usually a deposit of $500 to $1000.

The coupon books will sell for $25; from this the class will make a 50%  profit.

The books contain coupons that offer reduced prices on food, movie theaters, restaurants, and much more. If each student sells two books he or she will not be required to pay sophomore student  dues.

In addition, if students did not pay dues freshman year, they can make up that payment by selling four books.

“Get Involved. We need fundraising to hold prom, go on our field trips and get ready for graduation week. Come to class meetings, follow our Twitter @Classof2020LHS,” said Blair.
