Gear Up Day, the day when local community colleges accept students on the spot, will be held at Ludlow High School on January 10 and 12 in the Guidance Office.

Springfield Technical Community College will accept applications on Jan. 10 and Holyoke Community College on Jan.12

Guidance Counselor Tesha Ward says that Gear Up Day is, “ when colleges come in and students give their desired schools their applications, and they are told on the spot if they got accepted or not.”

Last December, 30 kids were accepted and the colleges that visited were Western New England University, Elms, American International College, and Springfield College.
