Students collect prom dresses for charity

Students at LHS are collecting prom dress donations for “Cinderella’s Closet” where the dresses will be sold at the La Quinta hotel in downtown Springfield for $30 on Feb. 22. All the money generated goes to the Ronald McDonald house.

The campaign this year is lead by juniors Joe Forzano, Emily Sevigne, and Alexis Laboie.

“Our goal is for 500 dresses. We have no set numbers for accessories at this point,” Forzano said.

They are also collecting any gently used formal wear and accessories including suits/tuxedos, shoes, wraps, bags, jewelry, and more.

The donated dresses are not only sold to girls who cannot afford their own dress, but to all girls who are in need for a prom dress. There are also great prizes that everyone has an equal chance of winning.

Donations can be made in D201, Ms. Jessica Czuprynski’s room.

“Prom is a night you’ll never forget,” finished Forzano.
