5K to benefit Ludlow athletes

5K+to+benefit+Ludlow+athletes+

Ludlow’s Harvest Bible Chapel will be putting on its first ever Harvest 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 17 to benefit Ludlow High School’s athletic teams. All of the proceeds from the race will be given to Ludlow’s athletic programs, so everyone is encouraged to join in to help.

Harvest Bible Chapel has held its Sunday morning service in the auditorium of Ludlow High School for two years now, and the church is holding this race to show its appreciation.

The morning will start out with the Harvest Kids Run at 9 a.m (check-in is at 8:30 a.m.) and will be followed by the Harvest 5K at 10 a.m (check in is at 9 a.m.). If you’re not much of a runner, participants are encouraged to walk or jog the 3.1 mile long course, which starts at Ludlow High School, continues down Chapin and East Street and then loops around back to Ludlow High School for the finish. Awards will be won by the top male and female participant as well as to selected winners in different age categories.

To registration for the event, forms may be found at www.harvestwesternmass.org. The cost for the Harvest 5K is $25 and the cost for the Harvest Kid’s Run is $5. All the proceeds will be given back to Ludlow High School.
