Homecoming took place on October 4, 2025, from 6:45 to 9 o’clock. The homecoming dance was in the Ludlow High School main gymnasium. Overall, many people have said that they had fun dancing and hanging out with their friends.
Attendance
In the days leading up to Homecoming, announcements in school warned that the dance might be canceled if enough tickets weren’t sold. Ludlow High set a goal of selling at least 150 tickets by Saturday, and fortunately, students pulled through just in time to make it happen. By the deadline, we completed our goal, and the dance was on! At Hoco, not many people decided to make an appearance, but it was better than the dance getting canceled like last year. Many grades showed up, but it was mostly a mix of Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors with little Senior attendance. Some of the chaperones that were there included Mr. Augusto, Mr. Reagan, and Mrs. Bernard, who made sure the dance ran smoothly.
Decorations
The theme for Ludlow High School’s 2025 Homecoming was fall, and the gym was transformed to match the vibe. Balloons, autumn leaves, and warm fairy lights decorated the space. Disco lights for the dance floor, with a photo area that gave students a perfect spot to pose for pictures with friends. Many students took full advantage of the setup, taking pictures to share on social media. As always, outside of the gymnasium, there was a concession stand to buy food and drinks. The decorations were designed by Mrs. Bernard and the cheerleading team, and they ended up receiving positive feedback from the attendees.
Music Choice
The homecoming dance had many different genres and songs playing for people to dance to. Mrs. Bernard was in charge of the playlist that was playing. Many people complained and wanted different songs to be played while dancing. At some points of the dance, people stopped dancing because they didn’t know the songs that were being played. Even though there were complaints, many students were still dancing and having fun on the dance floor.
Hoco Football Game
The day before the homecoming dance, the homecoming football game was held. The Ludlow football team Versed Northampton. The Ludlow team made a great effort but ended up losing 26-28. During halftime, the four grades from Ludlow High competed in a tug of war game, where the junior class came out victorious. Even though the Ludlow team lost, the student section had a fun time watching, and some even participated in the game and halftime game.
Conclusion
Despite early uncertainty, Ludlow High School’s 2025 Homecoming turned out to be a good night for many students. While there were some critiques about the music and low attendance, the efforts of the cheerleaders, Mrs. Bernard, and chaperones helped make the night a success.
